Petersfield, St Peter's Church 1898

More about this scene
The church appears as we know it today. Within the last 25 years it had undergone remodelling under the supervision of Sir Arthur Blomfield. In October 1950 the headstones were removed with the exception of that of John Small, a most famous early cricketer. This levelling helped the Urban District Council to maintain the closed churchyard in a decent state.
