More about this scene
The River Piddle winds beneath the chalk downlands of Dorset, giving its name to several villages along the way before reaching the sea at Poole Harbour. Piddlehinton has been the property of Eton College for centuries. The sign above the door tells us that the landlord was Mr Albert Penny.
