More about this scene
In early 20th century guides, walkers were advised to leave the train at Port St Mary and go by way of the Chasms and Spanish Head to Port Erin.. The Chasms were described as fissures resembling those between Lydstep Cove and Manorbier Bay in Wales, and caused by the falling in of caves. At Spanish Head they would be offered a commanding view of the Calf of Man.
