Royal School, Portora Walter G W Pontet - a Memory of Portora.
Walter George PONTET (born 1867 Dublin, eldest son of my composer great-grandfather Henry Pontet and his wife Elizabeth Eugenie nee FLEURY) was a teacher at the Royal School, Portora, from at least 1901 and still there at the time of the 1911 census. I am aware that, from at least 1914, he had moved to St Columba's College in Rathfarnham, but I am lacking any real information about his time at the Royal School (except as mentioned above). I would greatly appreciate any information someone might have about him.

Tips & Ideas
Not sure what to write? It's easy - just think of an important place in your life and ask yourself:
How does it feature in your personal history?
What are your best memories of this place?
How has it changed over the years?
How does it feel, seeing these places again?
Do you remember stories about the community, its history and people?
