In the late 1970s, Tom Graveney, the Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and England cricketer, was landlord of The Royal Oak Inn (left). A fine and stylish batsman, he played in 79 tests and scored 4,482 runs including 11 centuries. He was awarded the OBE for services to cricket in 1968.

Although I moved from Prestbury to Gloucester in 1966 when I got married, then to Somerset in 1967. Prestbury has always held a special place in my heart, I always call it my home.
