More about this scene

In 1969, just 3054 passengers disembarked, and ferry services ended after the 1970 season. The tramway ran for the last time in 1981, with vandalism causing the entire pier to shut down a decade later. Money continues to be spent on upkeep, and the pier opens on special occasions.
