More about this scene
Inside, the church is a tour-de-force of Victorian inventive re-interpretation of the medieval Decorated style. Note the exuberant arcade capitals with their frieze of richly foliaged arches, and the reticulated tracery infill to the upper part of the chancel arch: Henry Woodyer obviously enjoyed himself when designing this wonderful church.
