Reading, The Abbey, The Chapter House 1904
Photo ref:

More about this scene
Reading's great Benedictine abbey, founded in 1121 and completed in 1164, was one of the grandest and richest abbeys in all England. What remains is a gaunt flint mountain with barely a dressed stone intact. This view is within the Norman chapter house looking towards the entrance from the cloister.
