More about this scene
This Accrington brick school was opened on 26 April 1893 and among its impressive facilities was a huge weaving room. Land opposite often saw overspills of crowds from town centre events such as the unveiling of the war memorial until it was developed as St Chad`s Gardens in 1925. The Technical School ended its days as Broadfield Upper School and it was demolished in 1988.
