More about this scene

From industrial Desborough we move three miles east to the quiet village of Rushton. West of the village are the grounds of Rushton Hall where Sir Thomas Tresham, the zealous Roman Catholic convert, once lived around 1600. This view is of the east lodges - early 19th-century confections of 'Gothick' built for the Cokaynes and now the entrance to Rushton Hall School for blind and visually handicapped children.
