Growing Up In Sherburn
A Memory of Sherburn in Elmet.
I remember Beech Close looking like this. As a child growing up in Springfield Road between 1952 and 1961, I would often walk to the "Rec" to play on the swings and slide with my friends. There was a lovely nature walk that passed the quarry to a pretty little stream where we would play all day.
