The Modern School
A Memory of Streatham.
I was born in 1951 and started life in 4 The Chase, Norbury. The whole family lived nearby. My father Sidney Hill attended the Modern School. He was born in 1922 and lived in 47 Briar Avenue.
He told me that almost all of his school class at the Modern School died on RAF duty. Was it really that bad?
