These cottages stand in Watery Lane, between Church Road and the Cross and the track to Harry Warren House on the clifftop - the track becomes the coastal footpath to Old Harry Rocks. Villager Mrs May Worley Morton recalled that in her childhood she had her first portrait painted beside Watery Lane by the Scottish artist Edwin Alexander. Captain Robert Falcon Scott stayed with the Alexanders before setting off on his famous final journey to the South Pole.

Does The Old Studland Cottage Still Exist, If So Where Exactly Is It?
I would love to know if this cottage still exists and if it does, exactly where it is. I have a watercolour of it from 1950s (or earlier), showing this exact view. I also have several old family photos of it from the 1950s and 60s. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
