Swanage, The Mill Pond 1890

More about this scene
The setting south-eastwards from the Mill Pond includes tenements in former Church Farm (left) and cottages on Church Hill (centre), though those below Wyvern Cottage have since been replaced by the present Rectory. Behind, with a great slab of walling to the rear of the High Street, is the extension to the Congregational Church dated 1837. Houses at Coniston Close (right) have also been rebuilt but the scene remains picturesque.
