More about this scene
Notice the boys playing cricket in the foreground - old boys still come to play a game each year. Now an International College, St Michael's was formerly a choir school. It used to have a famous library of 8,000 books, including the copy of the Messiah used by Handel himself at the first performance; these treasures are now housed in the Bodleian Library in Oxford.
