More about this scene
The low building on the pier was home to the RAF Marine Branch. During World War II marine craft were engaged in anti- submarine work and the defence of the western approaches. From 1940-47, No 48 Air Sea Rescue Unit was based here. After the war, marine craft in Tenby were chiefly employed in providing Range Safety in Carmarthen Bay. The RAF Marine Branch closed in 1985.
