More about this scene
This mock-Tudor building was the Dunes Guesthouse, built in 1914 as part of a model middle-class seaside resort, which was designed by Glencain Stuart Ogilvie between 1910 and 1928. The wall to the left, now higher, marks the edge of Barn Hall of 1925, the Estate Office.
