Record Hops In Timperley Village

The record hops were held at the Parish Rooms on Stockport Road next to the village school. They were held upstairs on Saturday nights and were run by a young man called Jimmy Woodward. The ground floor was a billiard room. First to fortify ourselves at the Stonemasons Arms then across to the hop. Great times.
