More about this scene
Each of these photographs takes the eye closer to the village centre with the railway now in clear view. With the amount of coal traffic in the past there would be at least two tracks running up to Treherbert, whilst the actual population of the villages would not justify even a single track railway today. It looks later in the year, perhaps high summer, with the sheep in the foreground being newly shorn.
