Red Lion Pub

My GGGGreat Grand Father had the big red house at the end of the main road beside the bridge and this was a pub called the red lion. He had it until his death in 1825. His name was James Fynn and his wife Martha. She died soon after and left five children.

Memories Of A Youngster

I have many memories of Monks Eleigh. Although only 4 years of age, the sights I saw during the Battle of Britain in and around Monks Eleigh are vivid. Mother and I moved there in 1940, following Father who was with a searchlight regiment.
