More about this scene

The Nottingham Co-operative Society (centre) is no longer on the left of the High Street - the building is now a pet shop, and the Co-op has moved to a more modern building across the street. Barton the grocer's (left) is now Snips and Clips, and Scupholm, the potato merchant next door, is now The Filling Station, a good sandwich shop. The Angel Inn is in the distance.

A Selection of Memories from Wainfleet All Saints

For many years now, we've been inviting visitors to our website to add their own memories to share their experiences of life as it was, prompted by the photographs in our archive. Here are some from Wainfleet All Saints

Sparked a Memory for you?

If this has sparked a memory, why not share it here?

I have memories of me and the now-landlord getting banned from this pub and I lost me bike!
This isn't a memory, but I would like to hear about other people's memories as to the Woolpack at Wainfleet. I have been the landlady of this hotel for the last 7 months and would like to know some history about the premises prior to the 1950s - can anyone help?
