More about this scene

The clock tower dates from 1679. The coat of arms of Watton is a hare and a barrel: they can be seen above the clock and again on the weather vane. ('Wat' is a dialect word for a hare, and 'tun' a word for a barrel.) Near Watton is Wayland Wood, the traditional site of the original murders behind the pantomime story of the Babes in the Wood.

My wife worked at Weston's on leaving school any memories or photos would be appreciated.
I was stationed at Watton when doing my national service in 1948/49. I was on fire piquet when one of the Mosquto's caught fire. Our CO was Air Commodore Daltom-Morris.
