Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

More about this scene

West Byfleet is more stylish with its architecturally-considered parade of shops and flats: this is quite a successful composition, with occasional timber-framed accents. At the far end a bank in Wren/Queen Anne style completes the row. Across the road beyond is a good Art Nouveau/Gothic church of 1912. Thus West Byfleet at least tried to create a Garden Suburb feel, but later development and redevelopment let things go rather.

Portman Building Society
I remember the Portman. Very polite helpful staff. Used to pop over from Heathrow to open up bonds with very good interest. It all seems like a dream now!

The Green Room Kittens!
My Mum and Dad used to take my sister and I to ‘The Green Room’ tea shop too, usually on a Saturday morning. We used to enjoy a large homemade shortbread biscuit! I remember the animal charity box at the door too, it was of 3 kittens!! Also the sisters who ran the shop. There were always postcards in the window for kittens for sale, and being a lover of cats I eventually persuaded my mum and dad to let us ...see more

West Byfleet Tea Room
There tea room had a slot charity animal in the door way outside, our grandmother used to give us small change to post in it. The coins made a satisfactory clunk as they reached the bottom, or so it seemed when I was young. For special treat inside Nan would order a cake stand with a selection of cakes, sandwiches and flapjacks ( my absolute favourite, being chewy and hard) One was only sposed to eat what one ...see more

Rowley Bristow Hospital
This hospital played a big part in my childhood. My sister spent several weeks there after suffering a severe cut to her knee in the 1960s, her godmother worked there as a physiotherapist, and not long before it closed, my mum was there as a patient after breaking her hip in 1989. All our photos are printed as optimised versions of their originals, this process can take anything from 15 minutes to several hours. This ensures that the product you get shows the true quality that Frith photos are renowned for.

Genealogy & Research Images

Despite over 20 years’ work on the archive, these scans have still not been individually checked and may prove to be damaged, faded, or not of sufficient quality to ever be offered in our full product range. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
