The Play Swings

A Memory of West Hagley.

I remember the swings being located in the park as shown in this picture when I was about four. I know they kept the big slide when they relocated them down to the bottom left hand side of the park as you look at this photograph but I can't remember if they kept all the items shown in the picture when they built the new community centre as the previous centre was located further down the village on the right hand side. I think it was a massive nissen hut?

I lived in Hagley from 1963 to 1980 and played in this park with quite a few friends who I grew up with and went to cubs and scouts with, along with playing in the village football teams.
