Heath House School 1962 1966
A Memory of Weybridge.
Share many of the same memories of the swimming pool and the jungle gym. Also remember what looked at the time like an enormous boarding the kindergarten with the alphabet on it and matching pictures. Remember every morning having to recite phonetically “a for apple and so on”. The cellar where the older children kept their coats was always known as the donjon, which made it seem very scary to us younger ones. I also remember the front stairs in the hallway that nobody was allowed to use.
As for names I remember in my class Andy Levy, David Sykes (Eric’s son), Christopher Barker, Hillary Mueller and Jeremy Turpin (I even have photos of the last 3 at the school with a camera I was given for a present). I also remember one our teachers was I think a Miss Furby or similar. The name of the scary lady who taught poetry will come back to me soon. Like some of the others on this chat, I also went to Wallop (1967-70) but loved it there - playing sport every afternoon was my idea of heaven.
