The Creamery Shop

A Memory of Whitstable.

my grandparents owned the creamery shop (Margaret and Fred Hoare) just down from the water front. We used to go in summer to stay in the attic rooms above the shop.
It is now a sewing machine shop but the photo's give me very fond memories of the fishermen mending there nets the old way with a wooden hand held ??? was fascinating.
I live in the Blue Mountains in Australia and one of my best friends is married to a Whitstable man who is visiting UK now. If anyone knows Garth Wyver say hi from Von.
I am Yvonne Blake (ne Hoare)

Hallo. What an amazing coincidence. Garth Wyver has visited me today in Whitstable. I went to school with his eldest daughter. I have just rang him and told him about your comment. He has had a good holiday. My parents and camburns-a common Whitstable name. Best wishes Julie Camburn 25 October 2015

HI Julie, Garth just sent me a message with picture of the Creamery in 1911 when it was a stationer. Didn't realise it had so many owners. half way round the world and still the ;memories and people collide. hope you had a lovely visit.
