Although surrounded by a patchwork of fields, Widecombe is a real moorland village, and the skyline is dominated by the tors: centre right is Bonehill Rocks, to the left is Bell Tor and on the far left the bump on the skyline is Chinkwell Tor.

It was a fine summer evening in June and the dancers and musicians of the Heather and Gorse Clog Morris team met at The Old Inn at Widecombe to put on an entertainment of morris dancing and music.
