More about this scene
This view is taken from the top of the church tower overlooking the triangular market place, with the Jubilee Pump and Swan Inn. The building to the left is the 16th-century Village Institute, now also a thriving museum, which was restored and enlarged in 1920 as the Village War Memorial. The high elevation enables us to see the typically flat agricultural land of West Suffolk.
