Hi Thank you so much for the framed map of our 'home', it is lovely to be able to match the places in the area to those shown on our house deeds, we have these since the land was a field, just as shown in the map! I only ordered the map by via the website on Sunday evening, and it arrived Thursday morning, a lovely surprise - thank you. I was just searching for a photograph of a shop that my Grandfather and Father ran at 7 Bridge Street, Wye. Great to find one. My family ran the paper shop from 1962 until I think the Kettles took over. I can't be sure of the end date as both my Grandfather and father have now passed. I can remember living there as a young boy (from age of 4). I also remember the shop being flooded when the river broke it banks. I thought I would just share this with you. I have been back a number of times since and it is great to find your site

Just to say thank you for the 3 framed pictures of old Pontefract, they are lovely just as I wanted and very quick delivery. I am retiring from 48 years in the NHS and I am donating them to the ward at Pontefract Hospital where I worked as a Nurse. They will be delighted and will cheer up many patients that remember that era.
