Caption for York, The Hospitium C1885: Near the River Ouse, situated in what is now the Museum Gardens, this building was the guest house for St Mary's Abbey. The ground floor was built in the early 14th century, while the timber-framed first floor was added in 1420; a new roof was built in the 1930s.
