Alderley Edge, Duke Street c.1960

More about this scene
The Victorian villas on the Edge can clearly be seen at the end of the road and across the field, then known as Lifeless Moss. When Marlborough Road was built in the 1960s, although it appears on a map to extend Duke Street towards the hill and one can walk through, there is no vehicular access between the two roads, so Duke Street remains a quiet back street in Alderley.
