More about this scene
The Royal Crescent looks out over a field which drops away to Victoria Park beyond, also fields when the Crescent was built. The Park was laid out by Edward Davis, a pupil of Sir John Soane, the architect of the old Bank of England, and opened in 1830. This view shows the later bandstand in full swing.
