More about this scene

A double-decker open-topped bus travels north along the A24 on its way to Dorking and its terminus at West Croydon. The Duke's Head Inn (right), which would appear to date back to the 16th or 17th century from its quaint interior, is still here at the side of what is now a modern dual carriageway. Although the building has lost some of its forecourt to the road improvements, it still offers bed and breakfast accommodation and a busy popular restaurant called Temptations.
