A Memory of Bexleyheath.

Does anyone remember the shops next to the bus station in Bexleyheath? There was a shop called "Smiths" which sold fireworks (bangers) all the year round. I remember buying them to use the gunpowder in my home made cannon which fired a ball bearing quite some distance - these days health and safety would have a field day!

Hi. Allen. Yes I Remember he shops next to the bus station. My name is Peter Harris, I lived at 80 Birling Rd. Northumberland Heath Erith. I Remember seeing a saxophone for the first time, in the window, and was fascinated by it. Later in life I brought one, a tenor, and enjoyed playing it. Those were good days, it was a better world. Unlike today, great at least to have our memories !
