More about this scene
The Church of St Peter, St Paul and St Thomas of Canterbury was built in the 15th century; it was extended in 1858, when the north aisle was added. The interior was renovated in the 1880s; the Victorians seem to have had a taste for church restoration, which was unfortunately not always carried out as sensitively as it was here at Bovey Tracey.
