Brecon, St Mary's Church 1899

More about this scene
St Mary's position in the centre of the town, and the dominating height of its splendid 16th-century tower at 90 feet, make it one of the most prominent buildings in Brecon. The Duke of Wellington stands high and mighty in the town's main square (centre), known as 'The Bulwark'. In keeping with the Duke is the imposing old coaching inn that bears his name, the Wellington Hotel (left).
