Here we see Brynmawr, the highest town in South Wales, from the old Blaenavon Road; this is one part of Brynmawr which has not changed at all. Sheep feeding on the fringes of a valley town are still a common sight. Agriculture and heavy industry always existed side by side, and coal miners grew their own vegetables and kept hens and pigs.
