School Wishmore Cross

A Memory of Camberley.

I remember while at school with a 20 min walk to the church and or to the cinema to see the first showing of Disney's fantasia then walk back to school those were the days I was staying in the school from about 1964 to 1969 I met Sam kid on the green just past the cinema got his signature, best years of my life and I am 65 soon.

it's really good I remember lots of thing that come back to me some names from the school like the head Mr Mothersol and some boys names ,and place's we went through the old dean village over to the ranges to play, great times there, that was the happiest five years of my life,

I attended this scool from about 1966 till 1969. My maim memery was miss Beaver the head matron, sadly she sufferd from polio and got about on two walking sticks, always with a unfilted full strength ciggie in her mouth. A lady you did not give lip too!!. Three teachers I remember were Mr Mclean ex army captain lost his right rist in the war in japan. Then there was Mr Elliot, ex royal air force officer, nick name fag ash elliot because he always had ash fron his ciggie on his jacket. Finally the was Mr Von berg ex colonel or brigadier not sure wihich. Send his OBE back in protest. when the Beatles were awarded theirs. crazy days but happy days all in all set me up well for life.

I remember the same teachers but never their ranks or military involvements?
