More about this scene
The Royal Bazaar was opened by Frederick Collins in the 1880s as the Royal Bazaar and Fancy Repository. Collins had another shop in Pier Gap. In the early 1920s the premises were converted into a restaurant, the Garrick, and then rebuilt to become a branch of the National Provincial Bank and later Lloyds Bank.
