It Was A Boarding School In 1968

A Memory of Clacton-On-Sea.

I spent a few years there with my sister and the headmaster was Mr Booth, the most lovely man I ever met in my life, it was the happiest memories I have and the best years of my childhood.

i was at ogilvy school from the 60s to 70s cant remember anybody names but allan knibbs ring a bell there were to twins there and a girl name jill searle who move to shropshire mr booth was head master got good memory's there playing with old cars fruit picking learnt to swim there and ride a bike my name is frank peterson also with my brother ken most of my childhood memorys come from part of my life i even remember my number for my clothes which was 58 and my brother was 19
mr booth was proud of his school and i remember him telling me all about the golden mayflower boat shining brightly on top of the school which was our emblem on our blue blazer and cap if anybody reads this and would like to comment of there memory's i would like to hear from you
I went here in the 60s I loved it the swimming was girls one night and boys the next night. Mr booth teased me when I got my pliminary 1 and 2 in one evening and had to go and collect my certificates from Mr booths next assemblying. Do any one remember after tea time Mr booth use to get a few kids to join him and he asked them if they wanted high tea or low tea the hight tea was poused at armed length. Happy days my name was jenny Kemp then an quite podgy x

mr booth was a lovely man my teacher was mr hopkins ,my clothes number was 14 me and my brother loved being at school they were great day .
