Cound Hall

After my grandfather's death the family home at Bishop's Castle was sold and his daughter, my aunt Daisy Probert moved to a rented top floor flat in Cound Hall. At that time the Hall was home to a rich selection of characters living in what my late father called 'genteel poverty' (!). Millichip

My ancestor, Matthew Millichip was the Game Keeper for Cound Hall in the 1851 and 1861 censuses. Would love to see any photos of the staff of the Hall in those days.
