More about this scene
The King`s Head pub proudly advertises Tamplins beer (a Brighton- based brewery), together with an RAC badge over the door. This indicated that accommodation was available here, and that the rooms were of a standard approved by the Royal Automobile Club. The stone trough on the left of the photograph is a reminder that horses and cattle were often driven through Cuckfield.
