I was born on Tree Estate 1954. Went to Dartford West School from 1966 to 1971. Some of the teachers were Mr. Palmer [English] Always getting told off and detention for not wearing a tie. but he was a brilliant teacher. Mr Holloway [maths] Always said he had a pot shot at Hitler. Had some good times there.

Does anyone remember fishing in that dirty old lake? I have lived in Canada for the last 50 years on the West Coast and when I am out fishing for salmon I often think of that old lake, all the best to you folks, Clive.
I don't particularly have a memory as such. My great grandfather William Edward Orpin, lived at Hill Barn, Fawkham Village, Kent, Rural District of Dartford, Ecclesiastical Parish of St. Mary's in 1901. I have only just discovered this on Ancestry, and I am trying to find where Hill Barn is. He was a shepherd and I am wondering if anyone has any information on the above. My ...see more
