More about this scene
It was while staying at Enfield that Henry VIII's only legitimate male child became Edward VI on the death of his father. Edward later gifted the royal palace of Enfield to his favourite half-sister Elizabeth - later Queen Elizabeth I. The palace was demolished in the 18th century, and little remains of this once splendid building.
