Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

Beyond the medieval bridge over the River Ise lies the Church of St Mary Magdalen, distinguished by its tower and octagonal spire. The church received the body of Queen Eleanor overnight before the cortege set off on the next stage of the long journey to London. Nearby there was once a royal hunting palace, though nothing remains of it apart from some fragments in the church.

The Eleanor Cross At Geddington
The two girls seen in this photo of the ford at Geddington in the mid 1950s aren’t me and my sister, but they easily could have been! We used to visit my grandmother at Geddington regularly around this time, and this was one of our favourite spots to go and play, feed the swans and generally splash about it bit. My Grannie
My grandmother was born in Geddinton Nov. 4, 1888. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary Magdalene. I have the prayer book she was given at her Confirmation. Her name was Agnes Mary Hopkins, the daughter of York and Rebecca Hopkins. She emigrated to Canada with her sister, Emily Whitney in 1910. My father visited Geddington when he was stationed in England dduring WW2. Someday I would like to visit Northamptonshire also. Margaret Reid

Despite over 20 years’ work on the archive, these scans have still not been individually checked and may prove to be damaged, faded, or not of sufficient quality to ever be offered in our full product range. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
