More about this scene

The telephone box on the right has gone, and the bowls green has been created behind the bungalows. The wooden British Legion Club (left) was sold in 1967; three houses were built on the site and a new Social Club was opened. In the distance are The Cock, The Angel and the Ebenezer Baptist Chapel of 1829, which closed in 1986.
