Gorleston, The Beach And Pier Hotel 1908

More about this scene
This is a fine view of the 'lost beach' of Gorleston, so named because after years of erosion it has been reduced to a fraction of the size we see here. In the background is the Pier Hotel, built in the 1890s on the site of the Anchor of Hope, the old fishermen's haunt.
