More about this scene
Edward I made Helston an important regional stannary town, and its official Coinage Hall stood in this street until the early 1800s. The broad and spacious thoroughfare curves gracefully up towards the imposing Town Hall of ashlar granite on the right. It was built in the classical style in 1839.
