More about this scene
This is an odd echo of the past; moored hereabouts 700 years ago would have been ocean-going trading vessels loading up with tin. The inexorable growth of the Loe Bar at the mouth of the Cober gradually made navigation more difficult, and in 1302 Helston was finally cut off from the sea.
