More about this scene
Highcliffe Castle was once one of the grandest stately homes in southern England. Restoration is bringing it back to its former glory. The Grade I listed building was built by Lord Stuart de Rothesay in the Romantic style between 1830 and 1835; he employed the fashionable London architect William Donthorpe.
